Charles Harold Busby is an American politician, engineer, and businessman known for his extensive career in both the private and public sectors. He is a member of the Republican Party and has served in various capacities, most notably as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from the 111th district, a position he held from 2012 until 2024. Since January 4, 2024, he has been serving as the Transportation Commissioner for the Southern District of Mississippi. Busby holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Alabama and an Associate's degree in Pre-Engineering from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. His professional experience includes roles such as Chief Executive Officer at Orion Engineers & Constructors, Director at Sirius Technical Services, Inc., Design Engineer at Chevron, and Project Engineer at CDI/HERZOG-HART CORPORATION and Brown & Root Corp.
