Brooke Elizabeth Lierman is an American civil rights attorney and politician, currently serving as the 34th Comptroller of Maryland. Elected in 2022, she made history as the first female Comptroller of the state and the first woman elected to an independent state government office in Maryland. A dedicated member of the Democratic Party, Lierman previously served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 46 in Baltimore. Throughout her career, she has been committed to advancing civil rights and public service.
