Brigham Young University, often referred to as BYU, is a private research university located in Provo, Utah. Owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, it is considered one of the largest religious universities and the third largest private university in the United States. Known for its programs in law, business management, social sciences, visual and performing arts, and engineering, BYU offers a rigorous academic experience.
