Brenden Kalfus is a prominent figure in local governance, currently serving as the Mayor of Temecula, California, for the year 2025. He was unanimously appointed to this position by the Temecula City Council, having previously held the role of Mayor Pro Tem in 2024. Kalfus was first elected to the City Council in 2022 and is notable for being a lifelong resident of Temecula, where he has lived for over 33 years. Brenden Kalfus was born in 1991 and grew up in Temecula. He attended local schools, including Hillcrest Academy and Temecula Valley High School, where he excelled in baseball. After high school, he received a baseball scholarship to Saint Mary’s College of California, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. During his college career, he earned several accolades, including being named an Academic All-American and holding a record for the longest hitting streak in the West Coast Conference.
