Brad Robert Wenstrup, born in 1958, is an American politician, physician, and U.S. Army Reserve officer. He has served as the U.S. representative for Ohio's 2nd congressional district since 2013. A member of the Republican Party, Wenstrup first gained prominence by defeating incumbent Jean Schmidt in the 2012 Republican primary election. Although he announced in November 2023 that he would not seek re-election in 2024, he has had a notable tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives. Wenstrup holds a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati. His diverse career includes roles as a U.S. Army Reserve Colonel, combat surgeon, chief of surgery, small business owner, and private practice podiatrist.
