Barbara Pompili is a prominent French politician who has held numerous high-ranking positions in France's government. As of 2020, she serves as France’s Minister for Ecological Transition, appointed by President Emmanuel Macron. Born in 1975, Pompili began her political career as a member of the Europe Ecology – The Greens party, before transitioning to La République En Marche! Party in 2017. Over the course of her career, she has become known for her environmental advocacy, and she was the first woman to chair the National Assembly's Sustainable Development and Spatial Planning Commission.
