The Asamblea Nacional de Panama, or the National Assembly of Panama, is the legislative branch of the government in Panama. Established under the Constitution of Panama, this unicameral body holds the power to pass laws, ratify treaties, approve budgets, and conduct investigations. It consists of 71 members, known as "Diputados", who are elected to five-year terms from 26 electoral districts.
