Angelique Peterson-Mayberry is an elected official serving on the Detroit Public Schools Community District Board. A lifelong Detroiter, she has a strong background in community activism, focusing on social justice, education, and voting rights. Angelique graduated from the Detroit College of Business with a BA in Marketing and has pursued graduate studies in Acquisition at Central Michigan University. She currently works as a Diversity Equity Inclusion Strategist for Manufacturing at Ford Motor Company and has made history as the first African American and woman elected as trustee of Ford Motor Company UAW Local 245. Her leadership extends to various boards, including the Detroit Public Schools Foundation and the Detroit Youth Sports Commission, showcasing her commitment to improving education and community engagement
