Alice L. Lee is the Chair of the Maui County Council in Hawaii, representing the Wailuku-Waiheʻe-Waikapū residency area. She has held the position of Council Chair since 2020 and was unanimously re-elected for the 2025-2027 term. Lee's leadership is characterized by fairness, openness, and a commitment to finding common ground on diverse and challenging issues. She is dedicated to seeking sustainable solutions through cooperative and inclusive approaches. Her extensive experience in public service includes previous roles as a council member and as the Director of Housing and Human Concerns for Maui County. Throughout her career, Lee has been a tenacious advocate for affordable housing, community development, and disaster recovery efforts, particularly in the aftermath of the August 2023 wildfires.
