Alec Brook-Krasny is an American politician and businessperson currently serving in the New York State Assembly, representing the 46th district in Brooklyn. This district includes the neighborhoods of Bath Beach, Bay Ridge, Brighton Beach, Coney Island, Dyker Heights, and Seagate. Initially elected as a Democrat on November 7, 2006, Brook-Krasny resigned on July 7, 2015. He later became associated with the Republican Party. In 2017, he faced charges of felony healthcare fraud, but the case was dismissed in 2019 after he was acquitted of conspiracy and fraud charges. Brook-Krasny holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Economics from Moscow Technological Institute and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Columbia University. He also founded Fun-O-Rama.
