Born on July 19, 1958, he rose to prominence within Italy's cultural sphere, holding various positions within prestigious Italian universities and institutions. Notably, his expertise saw him serve as the national president of the Italian Association of Independent Performing Arts before he transitioned into politics. As a member of the Five Star Movement, he was appointed Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities in 2018, a role in which he was responsible for the preservation and promotion of Italy's rich cultural heritage.
