Regress Most Technology to the 2000s with the exception of Serious Necessities

As a deeply concerned citizen, I believe we stand at a critical crossroads in our technological advancement. On one hand, we have awe-inspiring breakthroughs that could potentially extend the lifespan of our sun and offer protection from super volcanoes. On the other hand, we seem to be losing our way, caught up in an avalanche of new phones, games, movies, and technologies that distract more than they benefit us. I propose that only those areas of technology that contribute directly to earth's sustenance and longevity, such as supervolcano protection and the use of diamond dust in atmospheric cooling, should be allowed to advance. All other domains, including cell phones, video games, media and everyday job technologies should be limited to their early 2000s state. This would allow us to focus on the technologies that genuinely matter in securing a safe and stable future for our planet such as utilizing advanced technology to minimize certain risks facing the Earth like supervolcanoes, an eruption from which could plunge the globe into a "volcanic winter". According to the US Geological Survey, super eruptions occur once every 17,000 years on average, but the effects can be devastating with potential global climatic impacts. In addition, we should invest in longevity research to extend the life of the Sun itself and Prevent it from expanding too much, thus prolonging our planet's own lifespan.

Also, we need to invent something to stop or at least manipulate the tectonic plates moving, because of we leave it to move, a Supercontinent called Pangea Ultima could form and wipe us out due to it's position and all the Volcanic CO2 in the air.

The Increase in Technology Expanding People's lifespans is also partly responsible for the Falling Birthrate, if not addressed, This Falling Birthrate could result in us becoming an endangered species

The Only Technology that Should advance is the Ones that Extend the Life of the Sun, Cool The Earth (Such as With Diamond Dust and Lackner's Artificial Trees), Minmize the effect of Supervolcanoes, Extend the Life of the Sun, And In General Permanently extend the Earth's Lifespan.
Everything else should Revert to the Early 2000s, DVDs, Niche Internet, No AI At All, Low Poly Games, No DLC or Online Play, Phones had an actual keypad and actually did all you want a phone to do. as for health, You Can't interrupt nature that much. don't worry about cures

  • No Streaming Services, Everything is released on a Physical Format
  • No AI, The only "AI" like program is CPU In Video Games
  • Everyone Used Cash, Cards were an Afterthought
  • Niche internet
  • 3D Graphics are Low Poly and Traditional Cel Animation is widely used
  • Phones are only really used for Calling and SMSing
  • Paper is a Must have item again, (use one tree, plant 10)
  • Flexplay, Hitclips, Juicebox and Other Portable Video Formats, Rather than streaming them on a phone

In short, we need to make a conscious choice in directing our technological efforts towards the preservation and protection of our planet, rather than needless consumerist trends. This approach will not compromise on our health or lifestyle as we are more than capable of satisfying our needs and providing healthcare with the technologies we have developed until the early 2000s. Sign this petition to rally for this much-needed shift in our technological advancement strategy. Value the life of our species and our planet, value the continuity of our existence. Humans need to be around more then 250 Million Years and 4.5 Billion Years. More People to enjoy our Media, More People To Host International events, More People to Write Stories, More generations, For Infinity.
