For decades, Weston Minor Hockey League has been more than just a hockey program — it’s been a home, a tradition, and a community where generations of children have laced up their skates, built lifelong friendships, and grown through Canada’s game.

With the proposed redevelopment of Weston Lions Arena by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), our league is now facing displacement and the heartbreaking loss of the only ice surface in Weston.

This isn’t just about hockey — it’s about community, belonging, and preserving the fabric of Weston’s history and future.

This will be Weston Minor Hockey League's final season at Weston Lions Arena. This commemorative, farewell season will give our players, families, and community the opportunity to properly say goodbye to a building that holds decades of memories, tradition, and meaning for Weston. We will celebrate the arena’s legacy the right way — on the ice, together.
