We urge the WA Government to leave rostered bore watering at three days per week!

Please reject the Department of Water's proposal to cut bore users to only two days per week.

Generations of Perth families have installed a water bore in good faith to save precious scheme water and because they love their gardens. Some were even encouraged by past Government subsidies.

This use of garden bore water from the renewable upper superficial aquifer helps ease the pressure on our mains scheme water which is already struggling. 

The responsible use of bore water three days a week means plants, trees and gardens help keep the lungs of Perth alive.  We must stave off an otherwise inevitable urban heat island.

We believe the proposal is based on misguided assumptions and will lead to a poor outcome for the broader Perth and Peel environment.
