As someone deeply concerned about the traffic situation in Indianapolis, I believe it's high time we addressed this issue head-on. Despite being the capital and largest city of Indiana, Indianapolis lacks a subway or rapid transit network similar to that of Atlanta's system. This absence is not only inconvenient but also contributes to significant traffic congestion.

The construction of such a network with at least 3 or 4 lines could effectively reduce this congestion, making commuting easier for residents and visitors alike. We can draw inspiration from San Francisco where the construction of BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) in 1972 significantly eased traffic issues.

Indianapolis deserves an efficient transportation system that matches its status as a major city. Let us come together to call on our local government officials to invest in building a subway/rapid transit network for our beloved city.
