Bring Proper Medical Care to Passaic County Jail Inmates in Paterson NJ!

The Issue

THIS IS A HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUE!! The inmates are being locked down for 23 hours a day and are only being let out for an hour. The jail is reportedly punishing inmates for a CO bringing COVID-19 into the building thereby making the situation worse for the inmates. They are NOT being cared for properly. The walls are cold to the touch, inmates with fevers are sweating through their clothes. There is reportedly no hot water. Listen, something needs to be done before something worse happens. I’m putting this out there so that if something happens no one can say it wasn’t brought to the community’s attention. I need everyone to please share this petition immediately so that we can get the much needed medical care to the inmates at the Passaic County Jail in Paterson, NJ. No one should be forced to endure conditions like this. Animals aren’t even treated this poorly. Having personally experienced the dastardly effects of COVID, I know that every minute can seem like an eternity. At this point HUMANITY MUST TAKE THE FRONT SEAT IN OUR DECISION MAKING. We mustn’t allow anyone to be mistreated by anyone in any facility including county lockup’s. Please sign this petition and share it with friends and family so that everyone can join this effort and help to be the voice for the inmates who are suffering and those who are afraid to speak up on their own behalf.

Corey L TeaguePetition StarterI was born on May 18, 1981 in the city of Newark, New Jersey. I began singing when I was 4 years old. As I grew older, the love for singing and music became more and more important to me, and I would continue my aspirations in singing by performing at many talent shows across the country including: High school graduations College graduations Weddings ordinations Consecrations Eventually I began to take on musical administrative roles in the church such as: Minister of music - Bethesda house of Mercy - Paterson, NJ Minister of music - New Generation Healing Temple - Paterson, NJ I held onto these positions and eventually recieved an opportunity to travel with a major gospel group and became a part of the world-famous "Uplifters," touring with them for some time. The Uplifters appeared with gospel greats such as "Luther Barnes," "The Canton Spirituals," "Rizen" just to name a few.
