It makes me very upset how many animated films (especially DreamWorks Animation) with great potential have been cancelled like Larrikins, B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations, Me and My Shadow and Monkeys of Mumbai. One film in particular that I am upset that got cancelled is called Zodiac.

Zodiac is a cancelled computer animated film that was to be produced by DreamWorks Animation and Pearl Studio. It's about a cat, skilled at knitting, who is determined to become the first cat on the Chinese zodiac. During his journey, he would have discovered a sinister conspiracy.

It was originally planned for a 2014 release, but ultimately (and sadly), the film's production was canceled due to problems at Pearl Studio.

Since the films, Over the Moon and The Monkey King, were made independently without Dreamworks Animation's involvement, Pearl Studio should really reconsider giving Zodiac a second chance. It is a very interesting story that should not be wasted or abandoned. Since more upcoming films are in development, the animation company should consider this film too.

Pearl Studio's animated films relate to Chinese culture and folklore, which are great sources for potential stories. Over the Moon, which involves both Chang'e the moon goddess and the moon rabbit, was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 93rd Academy Awards. Since this animation studio has potential, Zodiac should have potential too.

With this petition, we can hopefully raise our voices to put this film back in production and have DreamWorks and/or Pearl Studio give it the debut it deserves.
