My Reason: I am a fan of the anime mecha who watched the flagship Pacific Rim movie as a teenager. Finding out that Pacific Rim: The Black is a post-alternate Uprising movie event, I am petitioning to make a better explanation about the pre-Uprising war as a limited anime series.

Problem: The Uprising movie sequel to the original flopped because of the way that the writers threw the OG characters under the bus and captured the wrong target audience. It also lacked scope, pacing, and story and developed newer characters.

Solution: We ask Legendary Entertainment and Polygon Pictures to make an alternate retelling of the Pacific Rim: Uprising movie and fill in the chronological timeline between the OG film and The Black series.

Bottom Line: We need the writers to address the second movie's issues and explain how the Uprising War began in Australia while diverging from at least part of the original Reemergence of the Kaiju event.

Without the Victory:  If the Pacific Rim franchise doesn't make a plan or an announcement to alternate the second movie, the chances of completing the continuity would be in jeopardy.

Benefits: The new version of the pre-Uprising war will reconnect the first movie viewers who want to delve deeper into the Pacific Rim's canonical lore.
