34th anniversary of the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre

34 years ago, troops armed with assault rifles and accompanied by tanks fired at the student-led demonstration and those trying to block the military's advance into Tiananmen Square.

The Chinese government drew widespread condemnation for its suppression of the protests. From there on, China would work domestically and internationally to reshape its national image from that of a repressive regime to that of a benign global economic and military partner.

At the same time, the explosion of commercial interest in the country opened the way for multinational corporations to turn a blind eye to politics and human rights in favor of focusing on business interests. Since then, Western leaders who were previously critical of China have sometimes paid lip service to the legacy of Tiananmen in bilateral meetings, but the substance of discussions revolved around business and trade interests. 

As a result, the authoritarian regime took as granted the right to censor whatever it wants, without fearing consequences.

In 2019, the information about Covid 19 has been retained, making the international community lose precious weeks to prevent a pandemic that cost, according to IMF, at least 12.5 trillion dollars to the multinational corporations that turned a blind eye to politics and human rights in favor of focusing on business interests.

Now, the same multinational corporations are more than likely to understand how wrong they were.

Here comes the Continental Regency:

The complete demise of Germany in 1918 did not prevent it to start another war 21 years later in 1939.

It took the European Union to build sustainable peace and prosperity.

Likewise, the Russian demise in Ukraine or the Chinese demise in Taiwan won’t be enough to bring sustainable peace and prosperity. 

It will take Continental Union.

To bring birth to Continental Union, we call India and Europe to agree on the creation of a virtual government named “Continental Regency”. 

This Continental Regency will organize and supervise the creation of a transitory federation of China and Russia, during which the democratic and climatic transition will be done orderly and peacefully. 

In the meantime:

The Continental Regency will be allowed to have its territories, enclaves, and troops in both China and Russia and will be allowed to shelter every persecuted people, from either China or Russia and abroad. 

The continental Regency will be allowed to have its territories, enclaves, and troops anywhere deemed necessary to ensure a democratic and climatic transition orderly and peaceful.

The Continental Regency will remain under the supervision of India and the Europan Union.

After five years, a referendum will consolidate the creation of the Continental Union. In case of full success, the Continental Regency will be dissolved. Otherwise, in case of partial success, the Continental Regency will be renewed for five more years.
