Bring Back NickRewind - 2 hour retro Nickelodeon block needs to be done justice!
The issue
When 90s are All That launched on TeenNick in 2011, it was a massive hit, and for the 2 hours it was on telly, it aired classic Nickelodeon sitcoms and Nicktoons. 'All That', 'Doug', 'Kenan and Kel', 'Clarissa Explains it All', 'Ren & Stimpy', these are just a few examples of the shows that dominated 90s Nickelodeon.
It lasted 11 years and bought joy to Nickelodeon fans of all age. Millenials who had seen these shows tons of times, and younglings who got put on the map for better TV.
Sure, it started to lose it's charm when it started airing iCarly in place of Rugrats, but it was still awesome to see these classic shows on the television.
Millions would argue nowadays that Nickelodeon's losing it's charm, in-fact, 80% of the audience stopped watching after NickRewind went off the air.
If NickRewind is bought back, not only will older audiences get to see shows they've not seen in years, but the younger generations will be put on the map for some great shows. I'm in Gen Alpha and I'm a big fan of Kenan & Kel. So when I yell 'whyy' after every minor inconvience, everyone thinks I'm an idiot because they've no idea what good telly is and watch Skibidi Toilet the whole day.
So, Viacom and everyone at the Nick team. We ask you to bring back 80% of your viewers and just air a few episodes of Clarissa Explains it All instead of dragging on Spongebob Squarepants.
If NickRewind is bought back on television, it should be brought back on television all around the world (including countries not lucky enough to have a proper NickRewind) maybe at a more reasonable time though, because a lot of people would rather go to bed then wait until midnight to see Rugrats.
If you sign this petition, quality television will be back on Nickelodeon!
