Keep Bribie National Park/Beach OPEN

Keep Bribie National Park/Beach OPEN

The issue

For years SOME people have fabricated the numbers of Turtles that nest on Bribie island.

Truth is, that when you find yourself in a meeting with National Parks and BIEPA executives and discover only 5 to 6 turtles (2016) nest on the whole 25km of beach, (I'm not saying that these small numbers of turtles don't deserve our protection), but I was sucked in by the stories of hundreds of turtles, aledgedly nesting on Bribie, Bribie is not Mon Repos and never have been.

I have never seen dead or injured baby turtles on the beach, ever.

In fact the biggest advocate to close the beach was fined hundreds of dollars by Rangers for taking a dog into the National Park, go figure????

We have a brilliantly array of animals living on or around the Beach foreshores, sea eagles, oyster birds, wallabies, kangaroos and goannas the list goes on, we've found National Parks Rangers and local law enforcement do an adequate job in keeping flora and fauna safe and protected.

SIMPLY KEEP THE BEACH OPEN MOST PEOPLE DO THE RIGHT THING.

The same people that would close the beach would like to get rid of the Bribie Island Bridge......

They seem to want us all to live in caves, while they will live in the comfort of houses.

KEEP THE BEACH OPEN
