My name is Jeanne Carter and I have lived in Red Bay for the past 50 years and have seen the wonders of this area all this time. I have learned how delicate the ecosystem of the area is. We have pure clean water, endangered animal species, old growth forests and other amenities that would be forever harmed by the approval of heavy Industrial rezoning. This type of industry would forever totally ruin this area. I am totally against the greed at the root of this action. I urge the Planning Board and the Board of Co Commissioners to deny this application of rezoning as it is totally against the fabric of this community, ecologically and socially.

Rock Hill Road is incredibly dangerous because of the huge trucks that fly down it going well over the limit and then pull out in front of vehicles traveling on 331. I hold my breath and pray every time I pass that intersection and a dump truck is waiting to cross. I refuse to drive down Rock Hill because of the trucks. Now they want to add a site for garbage?

The community of families who live on this Road and in this area are already affected by the construction/dump trucks coming to and from the sand pits. It appears that when you actually view the landowners and properties, they purchased with intent of having a nice, quiet, natural, relaxing atmosphere. I would personally hate to come visit my friends on this road and see a dump put anywhere near someones beautiful property out there, where the natural animals would be displaced, affected, and maybe even get sick. It would be like taking away their natural food sources,to change to a dump, with possible pollution from unkempt vehicles and the trash itself perhaps, or even if the animals were eating any waste from the dump itself, it could be detrimental to the ecosystems in the areas nearby.

My name is Katie and I am a fourth generation resident of the Red Bay community. I am vehemently AGAINST any zoning changes that would lead to the creation of a dump within my community. This entire movement to alter the original zoning declaration reeks of greed and would have significant negative impacts to the wildlife and environment. I urge all government officials to vote against these proposed changes to rezone the Red Bay area.

Please keep Alimagnet Park as it has been. Although I support recreation and people being involved in outdoor sporting activities, there are better locations to host a pickleball venue that wouldn’t negatively impact a valuable natural environment. Keep Alimagnet Park undisturbed from additional noise, light and pollution and allow it to serve the community in its current state for all to enjoy.

I’ve spent my childhood on this lake and have watched firsthand what the mismanagement of this watershed has done to the local biota. “Like winds and sunsets, wild things were taken for granted. Now we must ask ourselves whether a ‘higher standard of living’ is worth its cost in things natural, wild, and free.”- Aldo Leopold, A Sand County Almanac

This is our closest and most peaceful beach. It holds many memories. We appreciate the small lake to go boating and it's pristine area. It would be very impactful and an abomination to have this piece of the north country altered.
Andrea supported: STOP the Chazy Lake RV Park!
We spent years looking for land to build a quiet life we could preserve, and grow with. In short... The idea of a 140+ acre RV lot filling up every summer has me very worried about the lake, surrounding flora and fauna and local residents, to include ourselves in the future. This project doesn't belong where it is proposed. I believe this WILL be detrimental to all things stated above if passed.
