The Ghost Host's body has been a feature of the Mansion since 1969. And, in all honesty, he's extremely well-hidden--my first time visiting the Mansion as a child, I didn't even know he was there. I only knew he was there on my return trip as an adult because I had been informed to look up when the lights go out. Casual visitors to the park will likely never see him--only the longtime fans who want to see him get to.
More importantly than that, the Ghost Host serves as the one remaining way for Paul Frees's great body of work to remain in Disneyland--all but one of his lines from PotC are gone after the refurb to base it on the movies, Adventures Through Inner Space is long gone, so all that remains is the Haunted Mansion, which has already cut down his dialogues far too much. Removing the Ghost Host's body may necessitate more cuts to Mr. Frees's work--something that should not happen to a man with a vocal range and list of credits that rivals that of Mel Blanc.
As a fan of both the Haunted Mansion and of Paul Frees, I implore Disney to reconsider removing the Ghost Host's body and making any further changes to Mr. Frees's dialogues.
