Coach McDermott is an man of integrity, and integrity is worth a thousand Super Bowls. You can't buy integrity, you can't be given it - you have to be it, walk it, live it. Firing Coach McDermott in a knee-jerk reaction, without any gratitude for what he has done for our team, is shameful. There were better, more dignified ways you could have addressed this kind of operational change.
I have been so proud to be a Bills fan my whole life, I have brought Bills Mafia love with me everywhere I have gone, and the organization has absolutely broken my heart over how this situation was handled. Coach McDermott deserved better. I have never felt shame over the Bills losing a game, but I feel shame for how the Bills treated Coach McDermott.

1. Consistent Success and Playoff Runs: Since taking over in 2017, he’s turned us from a perennial underdog into a legit contender. We’ve made the playoffs six out of the last seven years (as of 2025), including multiple deep runs. That’s not luck—it’s coaching that builds resilience and wins games when it counts.
2. Player Development and Culture Building: He’s the architect behind Josh Allen’s rise from raw talent to MVP-caliber QB. McDermott fosters a tough, accountable atmosphere that embodies Bills Mafia spirit—high energy, no excuses, family vibe. Our defense has been top-tier under him, and that “process” he preaches keeps the locker room locked in, even through injuries and tough losses.
3. Long-Term Stability: Firing him now disrupts everything. We’ve got a young core, a new stadium on the horizon, and momentum. Knee-jerk changes have sunk franchises before—remember the revolving door before McDermott? He understands Buffalo’s grit and weather; an outsider might not gel the same way.
4. Fan and Community Impact: The energy he brings pumps up the entire city. Sellouts, wild tailgates, national buzz— that’s McDermott’s influence. As fans (and yes, taxpayers footing part of the bill), we should demand our say before they torch what works.

While I understand changes may need to occur at times, this was the wrong change. As someone previously noted, you cannot “win enough”. This is just never done and was so disrespectful to the men she was marching with. I sent the Invictus Foundation an email explaining this and offered to verify my service if needed. Never heard back from them and Harry's wife never apologized for her abhorrent behavior. All Harry does in whine about his need for taxpayer security. He put others at risk like the soldier body guards that accompanied him when he demanded to go to Afghanistan. Maybe find a veteran that honors the flag and puts others above self to lead Invictus.

He was marched to at least six different stallogs, from Poland to Germany, after his capture. Once, he was told to load food boxes onto trucks being sent from the American Red Cross to feed the prisoners, which were then driven to rhe front line German troops while he, himself, was also starving. A buddy of his was shot dead for trying to hide some food in his pocket while loading the boxes. My father barely survived and seldom discussed his experiences after the war. He got a college degree & a wonderful job after the war, but no help from anyone with his trauma. He went back to school and earned his master's degree, but couldn't continue anymore. He just stopped working in his late forties, and my mother went back to work to support our family. Had he had something like Invictus to help him focus on through his grief and trauma that could have also alleviated his pain, he might have been able to walk me down the aisle at my wedding. He survived until he was 53, when he gave up and died in our home, three months before I got married.
I have been heartbroken for the lack of respect shown to the servicemen participating in the Invictus Games. They are heroes and are not being shown the respect they deserve for their service, due to all the negative turmoil constantly stirred up by the antics of the Sussex couple.
