As someone in middle class who’s barely getting by WE NEED TO SUPPORT PEOPLE STRUGGLING!!! Barely getting by does nothing if you can’t get good colleges or housing because you either make ‘Too much’ or are doing ‘well’ I’ve heard many be told that including myself and at this point the economy is an issue let’s fix that

I really care about this issue because I used to be middle class and my mother went insane from all the stress of being a single mom and trying to get me into college l I wanted to do was be able to help her and with this I'm able to put a small bit of help into changing things just like she wanted me too.

Currently have one kid graduate with doctoral degree and another just starting in college. Financial aid crucial with both kids and making education more affordable to ALL is very important to me. I realize it’s not just MY family have close friend with a student in college, family is in financial dire straits because one of the other kids has/had brain cancer so only way the brilliant college student could remain IN college is with financial aid! So much knowledge, new ideas, and just richness could be added to the world if everyone who wanted to go to college could go!!

As someone who lives in a middle class family, I know how hard it is for my mom since she’s a single mother. It’s been tricky to be able to pay for school activities, transportation, anything really. I want to go to an art school when I graduate but a lot of the ones I'm kinda interested in are expensive for my mom. Im signing this because I want to be able to help people in similar situations!

I fully support this initative. We could easily incorporate trees onto 10% of our farmland, with no decrease at all in production-indeed research shows the ecological benefits the trees bring and their benefits for animal health and welfare, could make our farms more productive and our water cleaner. As an alumnus, I was very disappointed to hear about further cuts to Arts and Humanities. My MA specialism was caught up in the 2021cuts to English, and I had to change my plans, and my future, very suddenly. It was enormously stressful, and left me uncertain how to proceed. I had hoped that one cohort’s worth of stress was enough! I implore UoL to safeguard what remains of their Arts and Humanities departments, there is tremendous value in our subjects,

I'm a part-time PhD student studying applied linguistics through the school of education at the University of Leicester. I don't cost the university a lot of money, but I pay full tuition. Losing this opportunity to continue my education while teaching full time would be devastating for me.

This is such a vital hub of our community, I have been using the pantry for years now, I thought my need to use it would get better, sadly it’s got worse with the financial crisis we are all In now. The courses you run have been vital to me securing a job, by taking it away others will not have those opportunities. Those struggling for food will struggle even more. The community atmosphere in the long meadow centre is a life line for many people from the infants with their parents to the elderly. The clubs run in the school holidays are amazing and give some children who would never be able to have opportunities to take part in activities the opportunity to experience trips and experience. By taking this centre away you will damage so many people in so many ways ! It’s a disgrace that it’s even been thought about. Clearly the person I. Charge has no heart and never been In a hard situation emotionally, financially or socially! Because if they had they would never take this away!

I worked in social services helping developmentally-disabled people who had been institutionalized move to community-based settings and become gainfully employed while contributing their communitities. Has this current administration never heard "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"? No one in their right mind would terminate a program that facilitates young people who need help developing talents and skills and becoming as independent as possible. Terminating this program is not only cruel, it's an embarrassment to our country. I'm someone who has voted both red and blue and am not speaking from a partisan stance here. This is about human decency, pride in our young people and their communities, and using tax dollars to provide valuable services "for the people." Cancelling funding for this program is about as low as it gets. It's disgusting.
