My core memory of me shifting from ps1 to pc gaming was love of strategy game and interest in history led me to Medieval 2, my humble request to CA is let Us have a remastered version so we can share it with our coming generation and let them learn and enjoy as we had in our days...... thank you
This game was literally my childhood and I spent thousands of hours messing around with campaigns and skirmishes. To this day I sometimes return to medieval 2 in spite of its age really showing. A decent remaster would be an instant purchase!
I believe everybody is signing this one not only as nostalgic fans of an old - yet very good still - computer game. We do this as long-time consumers of this franchise. Everybody signing this petition has contributed - and, I'm sure, many still do - with our money. Remastering this masterpiece would bring great benefit to Create Assembly, sure, but it would also put the Total War franchise where it belongs: as a protagonist of this genre and a great, renowned and solid strategy-gaming brand. We deserve this as fans, we deserve this as gamers, and damn it, we simply want to go back to this game and embrace the beauty of it while we also witness something entirely new. Make it happen and take our money, CA!
I got Medieval 2 for free and at first didn't care too much about the game because of its jankyness. I was used to the Warscape engine so going backwards felt off and clunky. However, thanks to Legend, Plips, and other YouTube content creators, I gave this game a second chance and decided to learn why so many people loved it and to see if I can love it myself. That was 3 years ago and now I have over 2k hours in the game and I mainly play as the Byzantines in the main campaign. There are a lot of intricacies that need improvement which a remaster could bring, not just in battle but on the campaign map. CA can do this with the help of Feral as they've already made a mobile port of Medieval 2 and Empire with the latter adding more mechanics which could also be implemented in a remaster. I feel that CA needs an incentive to get a remaster going and its a good thing that Legend started it since he's one of the most vocal voices on the game.
I grew up playing Medieval II: Total War and have some of my gest gaming memories tied to it. Over the years, I've often thought about purchasing it again, but the very outdated graphics have always held me back. If Creative Assembly were to remaster this classic - updating the visuals, adding some modern features, and giving it a fresh polish - I would gladly buy it at full price. This game deserves to be experienced by both old fans and new players in a way that lives up to its legacy.
As someone whose first Total War game was Total War Warhammer 1 I have always been curious of the past historical games. However the mixed reviews, seeming lack of quality at launch and choice of setting has put me off from the more recent titles. However medieval 2 is so beloved that I cannot help but be curious. I am interested in the setting but the outdated graphics and seeming clunkiness of the game has stopped me from purchasing it in its original state. I would certainly purchase a remaster if done well to check out what I have been missing. So far I have enjoyed many remastered games including halo, StarCraft, Skyrim and even Warcraft 2 and 3. It seems remastering a beloved game with care is a great move not only financially for the company but also for new and old fans alike and as I wait for more warhammer dlc I would love a chance to get into a new type of total war experience!
ive lost a lot of faith recently in creative assembly and feel discarded as a long standing fan of the series in favor of a shiny new audience at the expense of the old. a game like medieval 2 has not been made since and not been made before. a true remake of this game is all i need to feel like creative assembly truly cares about their highest rated game and about total war as a whole again.
I have been playing Total War games for over twenty years but the game I have the most hours in by far is Medieval 2 Total War. When Rome Remastered came out I bought it and continue to enjoy it to this day. If Feral Interactive and Creative Assembly worked to release a remaster of Medieval 2 Total War I am sure to not just buy it but also spend countless hours playing a game I have enjoyed for much of my life. I really hope this petition works to restore an excellent game for those that remember it and for new players wanting to dive into the wonderful world of historical Total War games!
