Rabies is the only vaccine required by law. So many dogs have adverse reactions to vaccines and some owners struggle to get their pups into the groomers enough already. All this will do is make care for the dogs of Colorado more difficult to access, and hurt the groomers who make a living trying to provide that care. Grooming is every bit about keeping dogs healthy as it is about making dogs pretty.

We have a place at Wind Point Park. We have been there for 3 years and we love it there. When we go through the gate on the weekends are stress levels drop. We have made so many great friends at this park. We I’ll get together every weekend and have a campfire. We cook out watch football games together right around on our golf carts take our boats out during the summer and float and during the fall fish off our pier if this proposal goes through, we have so many friends that will lose the only home that they have, if this proposal goes through, we have so many friends that have invested so much money they will lose everything. Please don’t pass this.

We have a large investment in our park model waterfront home that has been in a well established park for many years. We are senior citizens that are physically and financially unable to remove our weekend home by 2030. We need older parks to be grandfathered and have new parks now being built to comply with the new requirements.

Since it would be impossible for me to move my home I would end up losing it after living here for the past 15 years. We retired here because we loved living at Lake Tawakoni. Others have done the same. Please don’t take away the only thing we have left. Thanks for listening.

Please help to preserve our precious community. Kerry and I (Kim) are brand new annual lease holders at Wind Point Park, and we recently purchased our park model because it was the perfect fit for us. It is close enough to our homes that it fit into our lifestyle perfectly and allows us the ability to get away for a staycation but still travel to our residences to check on my horses in Rockwall daily. We have already made friendships here that will last us a lifetime. This is currently a place that we feel welcomed, safe and comfortable. A place we want to invite our friends to, so they can share the experience. We have invested our life savings to become active members of this small community and we were looking forward to experiencing the wonderful things this park offers us. I strongly feel that these proposed changes will have a detrimental impact on the park, the wildlife, the people that live and play here, and the businesses that surround this location. As someone who grew up camping here as a child, I have seen the blood, sweat and tears that have been poured into the improvements in this park for the greater good of everyone connected to this park. Please look back to the positive journey this park has been on in the last 10 years. It is a far cry from the run down, sub standard, dangerous place that it used to be. We, as a community, implore you to please reconsider these proposed changes, and allow us to continue this journey of making a positive impact on WindPoint Park and the surrounding area.

Oak grove park is beautiful. However, parents should be afforded peace of mind when their kids are playing on the playground via a fence around said playground. Being an area that kids are running around, parents should not have to be anxious that their kid could run away into the water in a split second. The choice should be afforded to parents about whether they want their kids to be playing near the water or not; it should not be forced on them as an option as they are trying to enjoy a family day outside with their kids. There absolutely needs to be a fence around every playground.

Having lived in Virginia for many years, taking my son to many of the parks,I believe that any park located near any body of water should be fenced. Toddlers, more so then any age,are quicker then most of us realize. It should be a top priority to do anything we can to keep them safe. It takes a village and we are all part of that village and need to raise awareness for the safety that is needed for our children.

We have only been to this park in specific once. There is so much foot traffic and with the water so close it was very worrisome for me with both kids at once. A (1) gate fence would be a great addition to all parks to keep kids safe. Accidents happen faster then we all would like them to.

As Mother of three toddlers I would love to see this, we have driven from Norfolk to Williamsburg just to take the kids to a nice fenced in park. This isn't a lack of attention issue it's just common sense to help keep kids safe.

The lack of fence is the only reason I have never visited this park. My daughter is known to elope and I could never trust this location. A playground fence at all playgrounds is so needed!
