I’m 69 years old soon to be 70 I was raised on raw milk in North Carolina when I was a little girl then vanished. I’ve never had trouble with it now that I’ve been drinking the pasteurized milk. I’ve had bowel problems, stomach problems. Now I’m trying to find raw milk and when I drink it, it doesn’t bother me again hallelujah. We want our raw milk back. They have no right to tell us what we’re gonna drink what we’re gonna eat anymore. A friend gave me a tip bit of information. I did not know there are certain foods in the Bible that are mentioned raw milk is mentioned four times thank you very much. Have a great day.
It is ridiculous that in this day in age we are treated as mere children not able to make OUR OWN informed decisions. And since when did milk even to give to our pets become a problem. When we shop at the store, we are still responsible to properly store our milk properly and to pay attention to expiration dates. Th bill flys in the face of those that need total control over everything. It is LONG past time the legislature stop being the gestapo and treat all like the adults we actually are! Pasteurized milk strips all nutrients to begin with. The ONLY reason it i done is for mass transportation an production. Milk at our local stors is already diluted. Example, If you don't have buttermilk on hand, you "should" be able to use 2 cups of milk and 1 teaspoon of vinegar to make buttermilk. Well not the milk from my local grocery store, it did nothing! When I bought this up to the store, the 1st words out of the lady's mouth was, it's diluted. And she is right. Whole milk no longer has the creamy taste it used too.
Raw milk has personally helped my dogs skin and stomach inflammatory issues, it’s the only thing that has helped her symptoms to disappear. What will be available to support her the way raw milk has??? Nothing.. because nothing worked before the raw milk was introduced to her.
Don't pass this legislation. This is not helpful to NC agriculture. This is not helpful to people or pets. When my elderly (but sturdy) Maine Coon was reaching the end of his days, raw milk was the only think he was willing to eat/drink. He didn't have to starve in his last days.
(Also, yes, I drink it. It's great.)
Some patients that visit doctors cannot tolerate pasteurized milk but have no adverse effect from consuming raw milk. Milk being a good source of nutrients should not be removed from consumption for these individuals. Strictly on a political level, our freedoms should not be restricted and certainly this legislation is encroaching on that freedom.
