Pollution is a pressing issue that affects the environment, public health, and ecosystems worldwide. From air and water pollution to plastic waste and deforestation, the detrimental effects of human activities on the planet are evident. Recent events, such as oil spills and industrial emissions, have underscored the urgent need for sustainable solutions and stricter regulations.
Petitions related to pollution highlight various key issues, such as calling for stricter environmental regulations, advocating for renewable energy sources, and demanding corporate responsibility for pollution control. One impactful petition urges the government to take action against plastic pollution by banning single-use plastics, citing statistics on the exponential growth of plastic waste harming marine life.
Take action against pollution by supporting these petitions and advocating for a cleaner, healthier planet. Together, we can push for policy changes and corporate accountability to combat pollution and preserve the environment for future generations.
I live here with my young family and it is absolutely devastating and disqusting that I am raising my children here. We pay the same taxes as the rest of San Diego and California and deserve clean air, clean parks, and clean beaches! It’s time Mexico and the US government is held accountable for this! Just because we are not the richest community does not mean we should be ignored.
It’s not fair that families have to suffer and live near toxic sewage. Our oceans and beaches are being poisoned. Wildlife is being killed because of this disaster. People are sick with respiratory illness because of the toxic sewage particles in the atmosphere. Something must be done to stop this. Clean up the river and sewage, stop Mexico from poisoning us before it becomes even worse! Our tax payers and hard working people of San Diego deserve better!
Growing Up in San Diego Imperial Beach was once a gorgeous beach where I would go with my family now I can’t enter the water or even fish there due to pollution we need to make a change to battle this pollution
I signed this petition because the cross-border pollution in Imperial Beach is a persistent issue that disrupts our ability to enjoy the natural beauty of our community. On multiple occasions, my family has had to change vacation plans and travel further north to avoid the pollution affecting our local beaches. It’s unfair that we live in an area blessed with such incredible natural features but cannot use and appreciate them due to ongoing contamination. By signing this petition, we can collectively push for actionable solutions that protect our beaches, environment, and the well-being of all who live and visit here. Let’s ensure Imperial Beach is a place we can all enjoy without concern.
There are already too many commercial business s in this immediate area with a majority of family homes and neighborhoods. We live near this location any mishaps from this warehouse could be dangerous for us and the children who attend school nearby! Please reconsider the location to be built away from our neighborhoods
and schools
Just moved to this area, I have already seen the amount of traffic that is generated during rush hours and school hours. Adding semi traffic will add a lot of congestion to this area that is already congested. The facility will also store chemicals that are concerning due to the location being so close to many homes and a couple of schools.
I work at one of the schools next to the site where they want to build this facility. This is not a wise decision to put items that can explode or contaminate the area where children go to school and family live.
The proposed location of this project is a really bad idea. I am very familiar with the location and it’s already heavy with traffic. The roundabout is still new and the residents in the area are still learning to navigate the Ustick road.
Also there are a large number of residential developments happening in the area this type of facility needs to be in a much more rural area where other industrial facilities are located or being built not in a residential neighborhood.
Please, not another Toll Brothers development. What they put up on the corner of Hemby and Providence reminds me of Levittown. They ARE NOT custom home builders, but cookie cutter builders that build boxes with no character. They have no concern at all to as to the character of Weddington. They strip mine for profit, leaving residents with our town changed forever. They clear cut and excavate with NO REGARD, only for profit. In another time we would call them carpetbaggers.
