Physical Media

Physical media, such as CDs, vinyl records, and DVDs, continues to hold a special place in the hearts of many enthusiasts despite the digital ages dominance. This topic explores the preservation and appreciation of tangible formats for music, movies, and other forms of media. Petitions call for supporting local record stores, preserving endangered formats like VHS tapes, and demanding fair compensation for artists from streaming services. One petition advocating for fair compensation has garnered over 100,000 signatures, highlighting the disparity in royalties between physical and digital sales. Another petition aims to save a historic record store from closure due to declining sales and rising rent prices. Take a stand for physical media by exploring these petitions and supporting the longevity of tangible formats. Your involvement can make a difference in sustaining the rich cultural heritage embedded in physical media.
