Pet travel is a significant topic that touches on the safety and well-being of our furry companions during journeys. With the increasing trend of traveling with pets, concerns around airline policies, pet-friendly accommodations, and regulations have come to the forefront. Pet owners are advocating for better treatment and conditions for their animals while traveling, including access to water and comfortable spaces. Notable petitions in this space push for airlines to improve pet transport protocols and ensure the welfare of pets in transit. By engaging with these petitions, you can help drive change in the travel industry and support the rights of pets on the move. Your actions can make a difference in ensuring that pets have a safe and stress-free travel experience.
We planned a trip with our granddaughter specifically around where Alaska Airlines flies so we could bring our dog. We were hoping more airlines would start this practice of allowing us to buy a seat to transport our beloved pet, which is a family member to us.
When we moved from Hawaii to the mainland, CBBG was a lifesaver. My pup is small (13lbs), but leggy, so he doesn’t really fit into the under-seat pet policy, though he could, but he wouldn’t be comfortable (and risk getting turned away), nor could he do cargo as he would’ve cried and barked the whole time, so we bought an extra seat for him and all he did was sleep on the plane! He did great and almost everyone that was on the flight didn’t even know he was there and was impressed! I hope they relook at this, and perhaps keep it for the Alaska/Hawaii routes to/from the mainland.
Please don't stop this policy! We used this service to fly our dogs from mainland to Kona and it was fantastic! One of our dogs is elderly and we felt this was the safest way to go and it worked well. We couldn't have done it without you Alaska! Please reconsider!
Flying my pet as CBBG makes travel so much easier and less stressful for both me and my pet. Taking away options like this will only lead to more animals being passed off as service animals. Please provide more animal travel options besides cargo to help animals travel safely and to safeguard ADA rights of disabled people from being impacted like ESAs were.
I have one dog that will fit under the seat and another who is just too big. He was born deaf and only partially sighted. Traveling cargo would be too traumatic for him. Please Alaska keep cabin travel as an option!
We have two small Boston Terriers. We had planned to use CBBG on trips from the Seattle area to Kansas City. We've driven that trip before, but we just cannot sit in a car that long anymore. Please don't take away this option.
When I had my dogs, they went everywhere with me though I did not go far. If I wanted to take a trip, I would very likely not want to leave them behind. Driving is an option but not always and people want to have their family with them, including those who are not human. Certainly, they have to know how to behave and be comfortable but Eurostar has to remember that sometimes people have family who are not also people.
