I’m someone who wants to animate in the future. It’s very heartbreaking at my art could be fed to AI at any moment, and that all my hard work will be for naught.
I am an artist. I’m not great but I have never resorted to AI to put my ideas into an image. If I really can’t capture it myself then I would commission real artists who would put heart into the prompt. AI is stealing from these talented artists and it needs to stop.
I’m an aspiring artist. Ever since I was little, I scribbled on paper and drew my own characters. I tried to make comics, I tried to flesh out my characters, and more importantly—I tried to give them life that AI could never fill them with.
Now, I’m trying to be published. I write, I draw, and I make little comics. Same as I did when I was little.
If AI takes over the Art industry (Including Literary, Visual, and Audio arts), I don’t know what I’d do. I’d be fucking lost.
Please don't crush people’s dreams. The roboticism of our environment does exactly that… please don't.
AI is really frightening to me. I believe it should be used for strict purposes of medicine or helpful purposes. Using it for arts takes away the purpose of art itself.. What will happen to the humanity of it? We are allowing ourselves to become inferior to AI, when we have a voice to set boundaries with our technology.
So many jobs and creative fields will be lost if ai continues to grow as it is. Human experience cannot be replicated and this just gives corporations another avenue to avoid paying a talented artist for there time and effort.
I am a teen girl who loves art with a passion. I've been obsessed my whole life and the pain of seeing people fake art is sickening. AI art is not art. What makes art is the story and process behind it. Not the image.
I've always loved art, specifically vintage/antique art. Art comes in all different shapes and forms, and AI cannot beat the fine lines and details of real artist's work. AI is fed artwork made by artists without their consent, and in return the people who made the "art" from the AI make money from unknowing consumers. This in turn takes money from the artist's income and pockets. AI is getting so advanced with making images that it is getting very hard to tell what's real and what's generated, it's almost scary. Not even sites that were meant for real artists are being taken advantage of! No one deserves to be taken advantage of from AI and their creators.
As a writer and artist, I have been practicing my craft for years ever since I was a child. To see AI seeping into a beautiful form of self expression, becoming a form of competition for a form of activism and life that's been around for years is nothing short of disheartening. Please do not let AI ruin the beauty of creating.
I'm an artist who's graduating from high school, planning to study chemistry in college. I love chemistry, but I would have loved to study art instead, to become an animator or comic book creator; but I'm worried about AI replacing these jobs and thus am going down a different path. I hope that one day, other aspiring artists won't have to worry about this issue when pursuing their dreams.
Hello! I’m an artist from New York, and I just want to emplore the goodness that is of this petition. The amount of exploitation of artists work, from infringement and thievery has never seen as much and it’s great this is made as a voice to fight back. For fair compensation, to have our own work protected, and the goods of creativity. I do hope we can eventually squash the disgusting levels of theft and abuse eventually.
Sincerely,
Naim
