This fleecehold model needs banning retrospectively, current and future developments. The bill currently going through Parliament is not enough.
There needs to be more pressure and awareness. We had no idea what we were signing up for. When we bought, we were told the council would adopt the estate, as you’d normally expect. I had never even heard of fleecehold or this new model of uncapped, unregulated charges.
Who would knowingly sign up for that on a freehold property?
It was totally mis-sold, and these developments should be retrospectively adopted and properly maintained. If not, we are heading for serious problems and modern day fleecehold slums.
Most of these management companies are private equity firms. They take admin fees and then do the bare minimum. Some may start off well, but it can all change, and this should never have become the standard model. We already pay council tax, and part of that is meant to cover maintenance of public areas. Other estates still get that. Many of us also pay higher council tax because our homes are in higher bands.
And it is not optional. A legal charge is held over the property on the deeds, so you are tied to paying these management fees, and they can demand whatever they like.

The court professionals are complicit in abuse tactics and coercion and control to make you comply with the threat of loosing your children. The children suffer and the best interests of the child are not paramount. Barristers encourage lies, division, and mis lead judges. They moved my kids for no reason and ignored solid evidence for hearsay. Cafcass do not research properly yet hold a lot of weight. Cafcass guardian abused me and harrassed me with the authorities for 15 months and the courts allowed it. Even when proved several times she lied on oath, lied in her records they did nothing and still went along with her narrative. My children have suffered so badly and this system is abusive. It’s not JUst, it’s not fair and parents and children are suffering

Put it this way, to get my situation sorted out I had to study law myself & then represent myself & also provide legal represention for my children. I have four children. Now, how utterly absurd is that. But that speaks volumes about how appauling the system actually is... that one Mother had to take it to that extent. The Lawlessness that goes on within the Family Courts is beyond belief. One has to see it, to believe it. The injustice, abuse of power, Judges intentionally misled to believe absolute nonsense. It is a mess. Perjury, contempt, discrimination, violation of human rights, lack of equality etc...it all goes on in the Family Court.

The latest application has only just had its final hearing 2 YEARS after my ex made false allegations about me. I was 37 weeks pregnant and my 2 oldest children are yet to meet their now 2 year old brother. In the final order, no arrangements have been made for visitation. I am heartbroken that my family has been split up.

Susan supported: Petition to equalise parenting in the family court and protect against false allegationsThis government is the same as the last , they are nasty , they are no longer eligible to be called the Labour Party, the way they are targeting the vulnerable with benefits cuts is disgusting, my family was first hand of this dreadful system, my cousin was ill, my other cousin was a loyal councillor for most of his life , my councillor cousin tried to help my seriously ill cousin because his benefits was stopped and the DWP disbelieved he was ill , eventhough he had medical proof , my councillor cousin did not get anywhere with helping my cousin and my serious ill cousin was being threatened of homelessness, two weeks later after trying to fight his benefits and the threat of homelessness, he passed away from cancer and he was left a pound in his bank. I thought Labour had different morals to conservative but I now think they have the same values , I definitely will not be voting them tomorrow or the future.
Dawn supported: Demand a Vote of No Confidence Against the Labour PartyI do not believe in their benefit cuts on the vulnerable, my family has had firsthand in this system already , he lost all of his benefits and was threatened of homelessness , the benefit system did not believe him he had medical proof and yet they stopped his benefits, my other cousin has worked for the government as a councillor and a secretary for the government local councillors, he tried to help but he did not get anywhere with the benefits for my seriously ill cousin , they refused point blank , he fought to get his benefits he lost and he fought to keep his home he lost..... two weeks he also lost his fight to cancer and died, he had £1 in his bank . I can not imagine the torment this man had to go through and I would not want anyone to go through the anguish and sadness my family has gone through.
