Recent trends show increasing concerns over service reliability, fare affordability, and cleanliness on MTA-operated subways and buses. Petitions under this topic address a range of issues, from improving accessibility for people with disabilities to reducing delays and overcrowding.
One petition calls for increased funding to upgrade aging infrastructure and enhance service quality, while another petition advocates for lower fares to make transportation more accessible to low-income riders. Astoria residents are really at a disadvantage if we lose this lifeline into Manhattan. I use this bus on the many weekends - like the Memorial Day weekend coming up - when the N doesn’t go into the city. We’re getting short shrift here again.
Please join the effort to save our direct bus route to Manhattan! By signing the petition, we can ensure that seniors and disabled individuals continue to have easy access to the city, without being forced to take multiple buses.
We are faced with weekly shutdowns of the 7 train. 3 weekends every month with NO vile alternative to get to midtown without having to make a MAJOR detour. This bus line is just common sense! We need to be able to get to Grand Central without having to trek all the way to Queens Plaza adding an extra HOUR to the trip!
