As someone with a disability that is not even the one being mocked, this is hurtful. The more hate and misinformation we put into the world, the more common it will be. Most platforms have policies against hate speech and mockery, so this podcast needs to go! These aren’t just “jokes”, these are harmful words that impact people’s access to healthcare.

They should not be allowed to continue to have a public platform that allows this kind of sickening behavior.

It is not cool to make fun of people with other debilitating health conditions that have similar quality-of-life scores, but it is okay to do so with Long COVID? No. It's not. This is hate speech.

LC is a postviral illness, no different from MECFS in many cases. MECFS has been recognized as a biological illness by the WHO since the 1960s. There are countless studies showing abnormalities in the body due to this devastating illness. The hosts of this podcast are mocking the only minority group which anyone can join at any time.

I have been fighting with mounting chronic illness since, illness that only gets worse with each subsequent infection. Rhetoric like this isn't just tactless or crass, it's cruel, ableist and dangerous to disabled folk. This podcast should not be on your platform.
