After the end of Windows 10 support, and the addition of Copilot among other problems, my only option was to turn to Linux. Everything I did on windows I can on Linux— except for using creative software like this. The Affinity products have become vital tools for me, and I would love to continue using them in the future.

A few years ago I made the switch 100% to Linux. I opened my laptop hoping to do something quick, and windows started to update in the background. My corei7 with 48GB of ram came to a crawl and the only way I could tell why was looking at task manager. I had to wait an hour and reboot before I could use my computer. That's when I rage quit Windows. Forever. There are only two pieces of software that I had to give up: Affinity suite and Altium Designer. I run affinity in wine. It's very buggy and twitchy but I can do basic stuff. I don't think it would work to do more complex artwork. I make things like icons and logos mostly and even that is frustrating because the canvas constantly goes black until I drag it. Having Affinity suite on Linux would be a wonderful experience for me. I realize it's a lot of work, but it opens the door to other platforms too. Like android. It's frustrating that Apple is still seen as the exclusive creative kid club. I want to be creative too, but I don't like apple products and I don't like windows. Please reconsider roadmapping this. We can be patient! I know it will take years to accomplish.

When Adobe turned its back on one-and-done purchases in favor of ongoing subscriptions, I started looking for alternatives. When Affinity came around, I was thrilled and waited for these promising programs to be ported to Windows and Linux, since they were Mac-only in the beginning. However, after a successful Windows port, their lack of support or even consideration for the Linux community is baffling to me.

Destiny 2: A Plea for Linux and Steam Deck Support To the Developers of Destiny 2, My name is Derick, and I've been a devoted Guardian since the very beginning. I've poured countless hours into Destiny 2, forging friendships, battling through epic raids, and experiencing the thrill of a truly unique gaming universe. It's a game I love, a world I've invested in, and a community I cherish. However, there's a growing shadow over my experience: the lack of official support for Linux and the Steam Deck. As a Linux user and a proud owner of a Steam Deck, I'm unable to fully enjoy Destiny 2 on my preferred platform. The current situation forces players like me to jump through hoops, relying on workarounds and unofficial methods to experience the game. This isn't just a technical inconvenience; it feels like a form of exclusion. We, the Linux and Steam Deck players, are being denied the opportunity to fully participate in the Destiny 2 experience. We're missing out on the convenience of playing on the go, the freedom of our preferred operating systems, and the chance to further immerse ourselves in the world we love. I understand that porting a game can be a complex undertaking. But I also believe that the benefits of supporting Linux and the Steam Deck far outweigh the costs. The Steam Deck has a growing user base, and the Linux community is passionate and dedicated. Adding official support would not only expand your player base but also demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility. Let's be honest, I'm pretty sure you'll make your money back with an overpriced DLC anyway, so it won't hurt you at all! In fact, I think you'd actually benefit from this. I urge you to reconsider your stance on Linux and Steam Deck support. Let's bring Destiny 2 to the platforms that deserve it, and let's ensure that all Guardians, regardless of their chosen system, can experience the full glory of the game. Sincerely, Derick
