I have lived here for 26 years there is no need for a CPZ here and another bill in the form of a permit that locals have to pay is ridiculous. Having been a resident this long I think this change doesn’t consider the opinions of locals or have us in mind at all.

On a personal level living and working in the area i see where there are CPZ parking then moves to roads without one having a knock on effect to those residents who originally didnt have an issue. This is clearly about revenue and not about the needs or wants of local people.

It can be difficult to attract quality skilled tradesman at the best of times. The extra charges will make this more difficult and expensive, especially for emergency call-outs. Why did Lambeth approve so many flats to be built if there is a parking problem? The residents and businesses clearly do not want this unnecessary CPZ.

As an older person with limited mobility, the number of friends I have in the area has naturally declined, meaning that those who visit from further afield are even more valued and important. The proposed parking charges will punish them for their kindness and leave me feeling guilty if I invite them to visit. I hope that Lambeth Council will provide and pay for extra services to compensate if this unwanted scheme goes ahead.
