I can't bear seeing human beings treated in this way, I was a nurse and cannot imagine the effect the pain and humiliation will have on them and future generations.

The benefits cuts on disabled , this has already been in place and this has already caused sadness in my family, my cousin had his benefits stopped and his housing benefits , he was young with poor health , he tried to get help because he was scared he was going to become homeless , my other cousin has always been loyal to the government and was a councillor for many many years , he tried to help my poorly cousin but he could not help in this situation, my poorly cousin had medical conditions and had medical proof and tried to get his benefits back , he fought to get his payments back and tried to prove he was ill, the benefits did not believe him and two weeks later he died , with a pound in his bank.

As a history enjoyer, and swordsmanship as my way of self control and self improvement, I use the services of many many UK talented smiths and makers for their craft, and this ban will directly contribute to prices being even more out of my affordablility and even outright removing my ability to acquire these tools in a peaceful context.

Bringing the Eurostar back makes 100% sense to the area and to the service being provided. So many more people would jump on at ashford as opposed to King’s Cross which already so over crowded and stressful. Also makes no sense to let such a good station with amenities that has room for a lot more people then currently use it, go to waste. You could also advertise the amazing outlet and people could even jump off and do some shopping before they arrive back in London giving more value to the journey/service as the outlet is literally 10mins walk and has fantastic places to shop and eat! It’s such a waste that the service was stopped. Lastly, the government is al says on about emissions and net zero so why not encourage more people to get the train instead of a plane to France and beyond?? Another station would help with this.

My daughter lives near Nimes in the south of France. I don't like air trave, particularly as I'd need to to to Gatwick, then fly back over here. Similarly, I nowadays have to go to London to get the Eurostar to Paris, then get a train on an adjacent track to come back through Ashford. I used to get a train to Ashord from Hastings, then Eurostar to Paris, and then a direct train to Nimes. That was at least a 2 hours shorter journey, with less scope for delays. I'd dearly love the Eurostar trains to stop there again. Please do your very best to achieve this. The extra cost to the railway would be minimal.

I work in Brussels but am originally from near Ashford and my kids are here still. My organization covers my travel to Brussels, but I am required to choose the most cost-effective option. Unfortunately, this often means I have to fly, as Eurostar fares can be very expensive. For instance, last week, Eurostar was charging over $700 USD for a first-class ticket from London to Brussels. It seems as though they operate as a monopoly, setting prices as they wish, which ultimately makes flying the cheaper option. This is particularly frustrating, as the train is a far more environmentally friendly choice, yet the high prices push travelers towards less sustainable alternatives. This on top of it not stopping in Ashford is such a shame.

The loss of Eurostar services in Kent has left a huge gap in sustainable, convenient travel for residents and visitors alike. Ashford International and Ebbsfleet were vital gateways to Europe, offering fast, eco-friendly connections that boosted local economies and reduced reliance on flights and road travel. With the growing demand for greener transport and stronger international links, now is the perfect time to reinstate these services. Kent deserves to be reconnected to Europe—let’s work together to make it happen! #BringBackEurostar #KentConnected

I live in Folkestone quite close to the Eurotunnel terminus. Together with my wife, who is a full time wheelchair user, we were regular travellers on Eurostar from Ashford to Paris, Brussels and beyond. We even went to Avignon when that summer service was in operation. We loved it. Travelling up to STP takes at least an hour plus an hour to get back to where we started from! Add in an hour in the queue at STP and it’s a really lengthy and difficult journey for any disabled person with restricted mobility. We would definitely use the service from Ashford as it makes it far more accessible to us.

We took the eurostar from Ebbsfleet with our young children in 2017. I can’t imagine having to go into London first with the young children and luggage etc. It was very convenient!

Despite being able to actually see the continent on a clear day from where we live in Kent, we currently have to travel all the way to London to catch the Eurostar which makes visiting loved ones abroad much more expensive, slower and of course there is the impact on the environment of the extra journey. Feeling very sad at this imposed distance.
