As a young man who has lived in the great state of Oregon my entire life and have been obsessed with video games. It is very refreshing to see such an amazing piece of art be set in my home state with real places that I have been. The first Days Gone game itself has an amazing story to pair along side of amazing art and well writen characters and an incredible idea for such a game by making it almost relatable in a way. Plus with the advantages of the next gen PlayStation 5, the game developers have SO MUCH room to play here. Let's be honest. This generation of console has been drug through the mud due to TERRIBLE exclusives. Even Xbox is guilty of this. But I really think that Sony could benifit from releasing a sequal to by far my favorite game that they have released in a LONG time. As an Oregonian who wants to see more out of the story line they have given us, I think it is a fantastic idea to greenlight development of a sequal. God Bless you all, I'll be praying that our message gets through to Sony/Bend studios/anybody who can get this ball rolling. Much love.

Why Days Gone Deserves a Sequel Days Gone is more than just a video game; it’s a deeply personal and emotional journey that resonates with players who have faced loss, hardship, and the enduring struggle to rebuild. At its heart, it is a story of survival, redemption, and hope in a world gone mad. Deacon St. John: A Relatable Hero Deacon’s story captures the essence of resilience. His journey from a grieving drifter to a protector and leader reflects the universal struggle to find purpose in the face of despair. For many players, including myself as a biker, Deacon’s lifestyle, loyalty, and connection to his motorcycle strike a personal chord. His bike is more than a mode of transportation—it’s a symbol of freedom, identity, and survival. Deacon’s relationships, especially with Boozer and Sarah, show that even in a world consumed by chaos, bonds of brotherhood and love can endure. His story is far from over. His fight to protect his loved ones, rebuild a community, and uncover the deeper mysteries of the Freakers and NERO deserves further exploration. Unanswered Questions and Opportunities for Growth A sequel to Days Gone offers the chance to delve deeper into the world and its characters: The Evolution of the Freakers: The first game hinted at the Freakers’ sentience and NERO’s experiments. A sequel could explore these revelations further, introducing new threats and opportunities for humanity’s survival. Sarah and Deacon’s Future: Their reunion was a powerful moment, but their relationship is far from resolved. How will they navigate their new roles in a world still fraught with danger? Boozer’s Journey: Boozer’s arc of recovery and purpose can be expanded, showing his growth as a character and his contributions to a new world. The Survivor Camps: Each camp has its own unique dynamics and potential for storytelling. A sequel could explore how these communities evolve and what role Deacon plays in uniting or protecting them. A World in Recovery: Beyond survival, a sequel could focus on rebuilding society, forcing Deacon to balance his individualistic instincts with a newfound sense of responsibility. A World Worth Revisiting The post-apocalyptic Pacific Northwest in Days Gone was more than a backdrop—it was a living, breathing character. Its dynamic weather, lush landscapes, and treacherous terrain made exploration thrilling. A sequel could expand on this world, introducing new regions, challenges, and Freaker variants. The hordes were a groundbreaking feature in the first game, combining tension, strategy, and adrenaline. A sequel could take this concept further with even larger and more dynamic hordes, new Freaker mutations, and fresh gameplay mechanics. Why It Matters Days Gone touched the hearts of many because it wasn’t just about fighting monsters; it was about fighting for meaning in a broken world. It was about finding hope, even when it felt impossible. For players like me, it felt deeply personal. A sequel isn’t just about continuing the story—it’s about honoring the connection players have formed with Deacon, his world, and the themes that resonate so powerfully. With modern technology and lessons learned from the first game, a sequel could refine gameplay, deepen the narrative, and provide the closure and continuation fans crave. A Call to Action Sony and Bend Studio, we believe in the potential of Days Gone. The game has left an indelible mark on its players, and the passion for its story is evident in the petitions and community support calling for a sequel. Deacon’s story deserves to continue—not just for him, but for all of us who see ourselves in his struggles and triumphs. Let us ride with Deacon one more time, to face the hordes, protect those we love, and rebuild a shattered world.

This game is on every “best OS games to play” video I ever watch. It’s inarguably a well-crafted game, from story to mechanics. Whatever internal politics or capitalistic dismissal has been keeping it from being given a sequel is failed and mistaken. Clearly years later, there are many who would be excited about and grateful for a sequel. My wife and I love riding around Bend Studio’s Oregon on our bike, and we want to see the continuation of Sarah, Boozer, and Deek’s story.

Days Gone absolutely deserves a sequel. The game delivered an emotional, character-driven story that resonated deeply with players, especially through Deacon St. John’s journey of love, loss, and survival. Its world-building, immersive atmosphere, and engaging gameplay created an unforgettable experience. The way it blended action, exploration, and emotional storytelling was unique, and the cliffhanger ending left so much potential for a continuation. A sequel could expand on the world, deepen the narrative, and refine the mechanics to give fans the closure and evolution they’ve been waiting for. This game wasn’t just about fighting Freakers—it was about the emotional bonds that kept Deacon going, and that’s what made it special.

This game brought me through covid and beyond. I love it so much. It holds a special place and I'd love to see it back for round 2. I'd not leave my couch for weeks. Please Sony. Do something. The fans have spoken.

Daysgone absolutely NEEDS a sequel! This game is the reason I got back into gaming. In fact, I love this game so much that I bought a gaming PC just so I could use mods to make the experience feel a little new again. Now that Sony has cancelled Bend Studio's online game, I hope they will finally give us fans the sequel we and the game deserve!
