The county school dress code has been a distracting and demotivating push for more control since the mid 2000's when it started. I was against it then and I am still against it 25 years later. All it does is add stress to an already stressful environment. The ORIGINAL purpose of it was to show pockets and waistbands for weapons...Quote...and then you needed even MORE control after that so you kept adding to it. Uniforms arent a bad idea really....but I am sure yall police that too somehow. Always have. Stress everybody out....great idea geniuses.

Having uniforms does not take away the bulling. If you don’t have the “cool” uniform pants you’re still looked at funny. Beyond this, it’s more expensive for parents to have to provide a wardrobe specifically for school AND a wardrobe for normal life. If parents could just buy normal clothes and not have to worry about buying uniforms on top of that, it would be a lot more budget friendly and help those who struggle to afford the duel wardrobe, especially for those with multiple children they have to buy for.

The original reason for uniforms was foster a sense of unity and belonging, reduce bullying and peer pressure related to clothing. However this has not been the case as kids still find a way to bully and make fun of other kids. Kids will make fun of their backpacks, their shoes, their haircuts, glasses even their socks. Uniforms haven't done what they're were aimed to do and have taken away from a child's individuality and ability to express themselves.
