All animals whether it be deer, dogs, cats, horses, wildlife pets as like baby have the right to life and have the right to be treated kindly and not abused. There are so many cases of animal abuse out there. You don’t know where to start. It breaks my heart to see these kind fur babies, beaten and tortured. I don’t understand how people can be so mean and so heartless. I hope they see fit to prosecute because if they do this to an innocent animal, they would do it to children too.

I have watched Baby grow up in our neighborhood. He is not your average deer. He has only known, loved and trusted humans. Many ppl seem to not understand, he could not survive in the wild. I guarantee, and I have seen, that Baby had the best possible life with Tammy and Candi! I fear his condition right now, after I witnessed how the GC mistreated him! It was so disturbing! The law needs to change to case by case, not just, He’s a wild animal and you can’t have him! No! The GC knew he lived there for probably a year and a half! And only acted bc someone decided to get back at the woman who raised the fawn (he made up the story that Baby was aggressive which is a lie) for some kind of revenge! I knew all along it was a lie. Now they won’t even show a pic of Baby to prove that he’s alive and well. Or is he not? We deserve to know!! I look out my window every day, and I miss him. We all miss him! Animals do love! He proved it! I believe and support the law. But this needs to change, and not in 20 years!

I would love to see at least some availability of bottleneck cartridges for deer hunting in Ohio. To start off with, 30-06 or smaller non-magnum cartridges might be a good test. that opens up 30-06, 308, .243, and all of the newer 6.5mm and 6mm offerings while still keeping things somewhat moderate. I have a rifle I would love to hunt with chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor that is extremely accurate and gets practiced with regularly, that seems much safer than using a rifle I only bring out around hunting season.

Every herd is down in numbers and with the recent discovery of Chronic Wasting in the state, Catalina is the last herd untouched by the above dangers.
