The nostalgia of this game would bring back some light in my life. To simpler times being in middle school. With all the other websites that have made it through the year- OurWorld should’ve too. Please bring it back to give us 90 & 2000 baby’s our adolescent memories. It was definitely a comfort game for me.
I played ourWorld for 8 years. It was my source of happiness & connection when my real life fell short. I am sad I lost all my album pictures as they were my happiest moments
I played OurWorld when I was a little girl and it's a bummer to see it shut down, since I have countless memories and friends that I made through. I hope some day it can come back and better than before.
I’ve made some lifelong friends off of this game, friends I am still friends with to this day. I miss the fashion and gameplay as well as the leveling up, I would do anything for this game to be brought back.
There was so much about this game that I loved so much. I initially joined for the games and arcade element (like Dance Planet, Bejeweled, etc.) but stayed for the fashion aspect and the wonderful friends that I met online. This game was an integral experience of my childhood, and I would absolutely love for it to come back.
I used to play this daily right up until they shut down. I joined the first year it was released (2008) and grew up with this game. It was the biggest reason why I discovered alt fashion in real life. It was the biggest reason why I didn't go completely introverted and had a relationship with my brother. It was the biggest reason I'm alive despite a cycle of abuse from the adults in my family (TMI, I get it, but I want the impact this game had on my life to be clear). I also spent so much money across several different accounts that I'll likely never see again. I'm sad it got ruined in its later years and I miss it so much. I even miss DownWorld believe it or not. You'd best believe I'd be one of the first in line to rejoin, even if it meant starting completely from scratch.
I started playing when i was just 9 years old (I am currently 23 now) and i would wake up first thing in the morning to play this game until I would fall asleep. I made so many lasting friendships on this game and I am REALLYYY missing this game!!!
We loved ourworld. Not only this game was apart of our childhood for some, the way the community bonded for an online game was nothing compared to what you see today in other virtual games. This was a home for a lot of people. A escape to connect with friends and interact on everything they had to offer.
Ourworld was my escape as a kid. I met so many people along the way, some of whom I still communicate with as I've gotten older. I grew with them, and they had a major impact on my life. It wasn't just a game to me; it was a place where I could truly be myself. I created so many memories that became important parts of my life. I think about it every day because I want to be able to relieve that experience that relief of just being able to go somewhere where I could just breathe and have fun, which is so hard in today's world. The community was amazing as well; everyone was truly nice. It wasn't like how social media is nowadays, where everyone just trolls and brings hate. It truly was a community, and I think the young generation needs that now more than ever. I think making it a thing again would impact people the way it impacted me.
