Something has to change I was bullied when I was younger and wanted to never goto school again, the higher ups wouldn't do anything, except seat me away from all the bullies, so its time for that to change!!

I was bullied growing up. I survived, but just because I made it through that, doesn’t mean that something shouldn’t be done. Everyone and their feelings matter. You administrators were so loud about “stop bullying” in all those little campaigns and pep rallies you made everyone attend. How about put that same energy and effort into actually stopping the bullying. Now is not the time to sit back and say “they’ll get over it” because, no we won’t.

My daughter is being bullied at her school. She asked me if she was weird and a freak. I said no baby your an original and they can't stand it. I'm sick of it.

I had a major incident my senior year. I felt unsafe, and unheard when I went to administration. Nothing was done about the situation. Something needs to be done about this. If it's still an issue this long after, I can't imagine how many times it's happened since.

My daughter experienced this in the Wisconsin Rapids district and was pulled out and home schooled. She is so much happier now no bullying and she is safe. Something needs to be done!

It would be impossible to overstate my disappointment at seeing that in the 20 years since I was in school, nothing has changed. The school system's policies still protect the establishment over the students. The voices raised in objection to this, still ignored by those with the power to institute change. The school merely stating that they "care about safety" in blanket statements issued in the interest of protecting itself, is woefully insufficient! Bullied children grow into damaged adults; carrying wounds which manifest both mentally & physically, for the rest of our lives. Preventing this happening to the children of today should be the duty of all of us, but especially of those adults who have become a part of the education system. School safety is NOT supposed to be about ensuring the establishment doesn't get sued after an incident. School safety is ensuring the students are in an environment where they can focus on learning without fear.

As someone who lost a close friend to suicide during my time attending WRPS, I tried to have a bench made by the woodworking students to honor their memory. I was willing to raise the funds for it. No answer. I then tried to have a plaque made in their memory, also willing to raise the funds for it. Several emails later, no responses. Don’t know if it ever reached anyone, hoping it just didn’t.

As someone who was personally effected by multiple bullies in school while the school put the blame on me.. this is an issue that needs to be addressed!!!

My son suffered TERRIBLY at the hand of WRAMS; students AND teachers alike. My son has ADHD and at that time, undiagnosed Autism. They treated him like he was scum. I am not being dramatic either. I wish I would have done more at the time. It's a regret I'll have forever. We moved out of town when my son was in 7th grade. By then my son had all but given up and was struggling with anxiety and depression. This school district CHANGED him. After starting a new school, lot of therapy, and tons of hard work, he's now a 20 year old college student who is doing well, but the scars are still deep with him and the damage is still there. Enough is enough and it needs to start from the top! Such a corrupt school district!
