Sky high electric bills,food keeps getting more and more expensive, the water bill going up, paying half of one to pay half of the other bill just to keep things going not knowing when I can catch up to pay the final balance. This is not living the AMERICAN DREAM!

However, my cost for natural gas service was 50% more! The Henry Hub Natural Gas Spot Price indicated that the price of natural gas in Jan 2024 was $3.18/unit. In Jan 2025 the price of natural gas was $4.13/unit, an increase of 29%. If my math is correct, a 25.8% (20% increased usage * 29% increased cost of goods) increase would be reasonable. The richest part is that the Excelon CEO had a salary of $12M last year and BGE had an annual net income of $380M in 2023 according to Excelon's end of year report (that is just BGE, Excelon as a company reported net income of $2,170M aka $2.17B).
Why customers of a publicly regulated utility being forced to pay, what is essentially a monopoly, more money when they have plenty of profits?!
We just had our first child. Groceries cost more than ever. The price of everything is rising, and it's just not sustainable for working class citizens. Especially when corporations are recording record profits!

We are being nickel and dimes, and it's becoming ridiculous. My last two BGE bills were over $300 and they've never been this high in the winter...EVER!!! It's time for change... immediately!!!

The delivery fees are awful as well when you use 50 of gas but your gas charge for that month is 150 is crazy. Please look into the deliver fees as well. Can hardly afford to live in Maryland much longer.

We the people should not have to pay more money because the company chooses to supply bonuses to their board members instead of spending that money responsibly. While I do understand that sometimes companies need to raise prices, at least do it fairly. With all that is going on, and the cost of living on a steep uprise, I'm asking that BGE reconsider both the current increase and the coming increase. We just can't afford them. She should never have to choose between health/safety, food on the table or a roof over our heads. And right now, that is exactly what some people are facing. Enough is enough.

If he didn't I don't know what I would do as my home is not paid for, other financial obligations and school loans. O still have to work because of school and other bills. My bill was around 300. but now it is close to 600.00. It is too much. No wonder people are leaving Maryland. If I could I would sell and leave this area. I love this state, but we have the worse taxes, sales taxes, etc compared to other states. Please stop spending. We did have a surplus when Gov. Hogan was in office, now we have a democrate who thinks we can afford anything. The pocket is dry.
