Ms. Tang from what I know about her is a very well liked teacher in the performing arts community in Orange County Florida and an expert in her field. This is coming from a student that doesn't even go to her school and I know that someone like her does not deserve an end to a career in this fashion. It is not fair that the government decides to take, not only an important and valued job from someone, but also an important mentor and leader from a huge community of the next generation of creative and intellectual people.
While I am not a part of orchestra, I have seen what Ms. Tang has done with these students, and how much she has helped them grow, and succeed within this field. Cutting her would massively hurt all the students in this program, along with the program itself.
Ms. Tang has always been there for all of us since she has come here and has been a parental and guidence figure in my life. She’s someone who always makes us laugh even when things are low and is someone who relates to us and makes us feel together like a family. the orchestra program is incomplete without her as we are all one family.
Ms Tang is a big inspiration for the kids in Timbercreek. Specifically guided my daughter musically for 4 years, one that made us so proud of our daughter and Ms Tang.
I was extremely excited and looking forward to orchestra with Ms Tang, as I’m going into high school next year. I’ve seen how she interacts with her students with care and detail and passion for their music. I’ve seen the orchestras perform and they have blown me away, and I’ve played for 4 years now. I can’t imagine what it would be like if she wasn’t at timber creek.
When I came into Ms. Tangs orchestra class for the first time ai was nervous but as I started to know more about Ms. Tang I slowly started to become open and social. Ams. Tang is a huge part of TCO without her the orchestra class wouldn't as amazing as it is now. Ms. Tang had done so much for both the performing arts program and her students making sure that each one of her students thrives in their preferred instrument. She is an amazing teacher that has helped a lot of people and it would be a shame to see such an amazing person leave the school.
Last year, I kind of sucked at playing the violin but this year, Ms. Tang has helped me change and grow so much and she really pushes us to be our best selves and she really is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had.
When I first joined the orchestra way back in middle school, I was a little nervous, because it was something I never really knew before, and had no experience with, but as time passed I learned and grew with the same students. Then, covid happened, and everything turned sideways... I became more socially anxious and overall insecure about my voice and my face. I was convinced I'd never speak again, or show my face because of how fearful I became. However, as the years went on I slowly began feeling much more comfortable, and took off my mask :) That definitely would not have been possible without Ms. Tang and her students. You guys were the best that could have ever happened to me, and I'm so so so grateful for all of you. 🫂💜 Sincerely~ Jules 🌷
This is from my daughter Stephanie Murray: “Ms. Tang has greatly inspired me to become a more dedicated player and artist. I have never felt so included in a program and safe due to her influence. No matter who is involved in teachings of orchestra, we will always remember Ms. Tang’s effort and dedication to help our program out of COVID and support every voice of every student.”
My daughter had been playing a string instrument since 4th grade and when we were moving, we looked through all high schools with an orchestra program and decided to buy our house in this district. And I'm glad we did! Ms. Tang has been the best orchestra teacher to not only my child and her fellow students, but to the entire program. Ms. Tang IS the TCO program and I cannot imagine it without her!!
