I've lived in California for 53 yrs, and NEVER has it been as bad as it is now. The taxes Newsom has imposed and WILL impose is going to drive me out of California. I can't afford to live her much longer. I can't purchase an EV, I can't afford gas, I can barely afford food, I haven't had a vacation in 5 yrs. I'm afraid to drive on the freeways in the SF Bay Area because of the shootings and crime. Having Prop 36 pass helped with exhaling a bit, but then to hear Newsom is upset it passed...I think he hates Californians unless we are the elite. This man should not be in office, he can't even spend budgeted money responsibly, why is this state in debt when not long ago we had a surplus? He's horrible. He needs to leave or California is going to lose it's people.
Gavin Newscum has failed us Californias! He failed by keeping our state safe in many levels, allowing all the illegals to come in take our jobs our homes, everything that we work so hard for and just gave it to people because they come from another Country. They bought weapons and drugs into our Country, causing many people to become addicted & die. They sex trafficked our children. The gangs have gone over the rails everywhere you turn around there’s shootings and gang fights. He brought all this on to all of us. I do not feel safe living here because of all this I can’t even go to the grocery store without some incident happening and then we have the fires from Northern California to Southern California and the last fire that we we had the south land with no water oh that’s it that was the top of everything he needs to go. He is only out for himself and his cronies. Please take us seriously, when we say he has got to go. We need someone who really cares about us people & our state! Thank you
I care bc this same event had happened 6 years ago and there were no corrective and preventive actions in place. Had there be enough resources now, it won’t take more than 6 days (still going) for containment. I care because this is worse than 6 years ago. How worst can it be next time?
Governor Newsom knew California has drought and wildfire problems, yet he never created solutions for them. Instead, he focused only on inessential matters, wasting years! During the drought, he banned us from restoring water at home. Sometimes, when we got heavy rain, we could have saved a lot of water. Another solution could be bringing water from the Pacific Ocean, filtering it, and storing it in reservoir lakes by building more of them.
But no! He’d rather let all the rainfall flow into the Los Angeles River and out to the Pacific Ocean, harming marine life and polluting water for the people. He’s wasteful!
Gavin Newsom has ruined this great state of California and needs to be recalled. I cannot afford to live in this state anymore, yet I can’t afford to leave either. I have been denied renters insurance because I live in the San Bernardino Mountains & my back yard is right up against the national forest. My mom is 83 years old & lives on a fixed income. Every year the California Fair plan ( UNFAIR) goes up a couple hundred dollars per year as well as the extremely high rate of property taxes. I am one problem away from being a homeless statistic. We need real leadership in California that actually cares about its citizens.
Sincerely
Kimberly Nicholas
Making Election Day a federal holiday in the United States could increase voter turnout by providing citizens with more time to vote without work conflicts. In the 2020 election, 13.1% of registered voters who didn’t vote cited being too busy or having scheduling conflicts as the reason. Additionally, such a holiday would celebrate democracy, turning voting into a nationwide event. This approach aligns with practices in other countries and has significant public support; a Pew Research Center survey found that nearly 80% of Democrats and nearly 70% of Republicans favor making Election Day a federal holiday.
