BT have posted a notice that they intend to discontinue the last remaining public payphone in Lambourn (Newbury Street) because of the low level of use.  They are asking for views from members of the public (via the local council).

This petition is to request BT to retain the phone box as a public service to the residents of Lambourn.

The Lambourn Facebook Group has been active with over 100 posts / comments relating to the phone box and this petition is a place where this can be pulled together as a consolidated view from the residents of Lambourn and others. The intention is to make BT aware of the views.

Other villages have successfully appealed and the service has been retained.
