Custer Elementary School is named after a man who graduated last in his class of 34 cadets at West Point and racked up one of the worst records of personal conduct ever accumulated at the military academy. He violated treaties forged in sacred trust between the U.S. government and indigenous tribes, and he led a ruthless attack on a Cheyenne village, killing several women and children. General George Armstrong Custer refused to listen to others, believing that his judgment was superior...
He was arrogant.., He used women and children as human shields...If you agree that there should not be an elementary school named after this man please sign this petition. Our children deserve to have a better representation in their schools.
