Dr. David R. Spiegel showed extreme and unethical bias in his testimony given on day 20 of the Depp vs Heard defamation trial on 5/23/2022. He testified that he took evidence given by Ms. Heard as a statement of fact, rather than taking it into consideration of the situation as a whole. Dr. Spiegel made assertions of Mr. Depp based on Ms. Heard's testimony and his own experience alone, as Mr. Depp declined (he was not required to by any court order) to submit to an evaluation.

Dr. Spiegel clearly (even more blatant than Dr. Dawn Hughes) made an improper assessment and diagnosis of Mr. Depp without any evaluation or examination of Mr. Depp.

I must stress that this is EXTREMELY unethical, if not MALPRACTICE and complete misrepresentation of the science Dr. Spiegel attempted to apply. You CANNOT make a diagnosis of an individual based solely on one version of events not from that individual. No psychologist should EVER do this. The data simply does NOT account for one sided non-party description of symptoms.

Remember that it is doctors such as Spiegel and Hughes who are writing the future of the literature based on piss poor ethics and unacceptable bias. PLEASE for the sake of integrity and justice in the field of psychology, sign and share this petition.
