Currently, cable/internet customers only have one choice: Cablevision. Recent tests, analysis, and reports indicate that Cablevision intentionally provides inferior service to certain sections of Brooklyn including the use of outdated equipment. They do this because they know that certain Brooklyn residents have no other options outside of costly satellite services. Thus, Cablevision has a monopoly on Bedford-Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, East New York, Brownsville, Flatbush/East Flatbush and surrounding areas. It's time that we allow other major cable/internet providers into these neighborhoods to provide a choice for customers.
